There is no perfect formula here. It pretty comes down to your style, what you want to ride and how you want to ride it. Click on the ski size of your choice on the right to show the corresponding height and weight ranges.

What we would recommend you based on your height and weight if you are in between two sizes – aim for the bigger size if you want stable skis. If you prefer super reactive skis, the smaller size would be better.

Enjoyment is great, but combining it with consciousness is even better. We aim to positively impact the ski industry by influencing consumption and consumer behaviors through scaled production, engaging in the local production process, maintaining full transparency and honest communication.

This vision is becoming a reality thanks to our partnership with First Track, a recognized research & development hub that has recently opened a ski factory in Verbier, Switzerland. From research and prototyping to the final product, everything is made locally, gathered, and assembled under one roof—by us. Our collaboration with First Track marks the beginning of the change we strive to see in the ski industry.

The ski is fun, carves easily, and even rebounds a bit at the end of the turn.

I tried it exclusively on the slopes. When the snow is soft and grippy, the ski is fun, carves easily, and even rebounds a bit at the end of the turn. However, the turning radius is a bit short. On harder snow, it's really challenging. The ski tends to vibrate in the tip, and the tail completely fades, making it much less effective and reassuring when conditions are not optimal for it. Lacks versatility for use as a single pair; maybe trying it in 50 cm of powder will change my mind.

A visually impressive first impression, with well-crafted and clean production... the ski is aesthetically pleasing! A premium and durable sole and edge quality!

Once on the snow, the skis are forgiving and relatively easy to approach, both technically and physically. The flexible shovel that deforms well when flexed, and the very progressive tail immediately gives the playful character of the Recreation!

Underfoot, the stronger base returns a surprising and really fun pop, very playful in side hits.

On the piste, the ski carves short and "wraps" in an intuitive way, rather stable even when letting it go in big curves, a very healthy attitude. A real hybrid freecarve/freestyle compromise... easy peezy!

I don't think I've ever tried such an easy-to-handle ski. After one run, I feel super comfortable and just want to keep going.

At first impression, the ski is ultra-light and super flexible. It almost scares me, being more used to skiing with heavy skis. After two turns, wow, it's fun: it turns easily, it's playful, still, a little surprised by the weight. Then I put it gently on the edge, I feel that it is stable, that it holds. I gently shorten the radius and again, it holds. I can hardly believe it. The ski takes the turns so easily that it feels so instinctive.

I don't think I've ever tried such an easy-to-handle ski. After one run, I feel super comfortable and just want to keep going. Pure fun! Little Ollie here and there between two big curves, I'm amazed by the versatility and seriousness of what looked like a toy when I put them on.

Congrats team, it works really well, a real bomb, I would love to be able to test other models or even this wonder in fresh powder. Thank you for the opportunity.

FAQs

You can – and you should. It works perfectly not matter if you ride slopes or park. In deeper snow, it might become trickier if you don’t know what you’re doing. But this is the same no matter the skis.

We are selling POMOCA skins which are pre-cut based on the model purchased – but you can use your own as well. We recommend cutting your skins for ski touring to use their full potential and for security reasons as well. Before heading out, we recommend checking the tail and nose fixing to be sure it fits correctly.

The Recreation is a solid and stable ski, and light at the same time. It’s a perfect tool to go touring and ski some good stuff on the way down. Any touring bindings can be mounted. No worries about the fish tail, it has been adapted to mount skins too. Before heading out for a session, we suggest you to first try your setup at home as you might need cut your skins for optimal results.

There is no perfect formula here. It pretty comes down to your style, what you want to ride and how you want to do it. But here is what we would recommend you based on your height and weight.

We have marked the optimal mounting position directly on the skis. We highly and only recommend mounting your skis using these marks.

No concerns at all! Laurent and everyone else in the club have skied all season long and never have they faced any issues. We also added reinforcement on both parts of the fish tail so you can leave your skis on any surface and don’t have to worry.

We designed the ski to be playful & creative on every terrain you have the chance to ride it on. It’s exactly the goal of the Recreation: groomers, pow, touring, side hits, park – you can do it all. You simply can enjoy everything.
