Test Simply. Skis during
a Pop-up Test

It still provides good pop if you push it (thanks to the NextCore), and it's agile. I really enjoyed the combination of its lightweight, ease of skiing, and sporty feel, making it less tiring.

I tested the Carver on groomed runs (soft snow) with a light 5cm layer of fresh powder. At moderate speeds, the ski performs beautifully: great edge grip, smooth and precise turn initiation—a real pleasure, soft and effortless.

However, when I tried pushing it harder (over 70–80km/h), I felt less secure. In my opinion, the skis lack the stiffness needed to handle high speeds effectively (my reference point is another Swiss brand known for their extremely dynamic skis with exemplary responsiveness).

For my style of skiing, these Carvers are fantastic for relaxed cruising, but a bit less suited for really aggressive riding.

They work very well on the piste, well enough to ski fast and carve nicely. But they perform best in powder, where their weight and shape allow them to act incredibly well: they float well, stay agile in the deep snow and as a bonus, they look incredibly aesthetic.

Soft flex yet lively, very responsive, this ski has a lot of rebound and carves with energy. It's easy to break out the tails to do some ollies out of turns. The recreation feels also very comfortable for switch riding and doing airs. Overall, these are dope freestyle-minded all-mountain planks that look like no others. It rips, well done Simply.

At first glance, it might seem intimidating if you're not used to skiing on skis this fat. But once you have them on, you won’t want to take them off.

It’s a ski that you can enjoy even in the worst skiing conditions. It was a great experience throughout the entire test. Definitely one of the best skis I’ve tested and probably my next pair of skis!

Having experience with much heavier skis, I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and responsiveness of the recreation. Every turn on the slopes became a source of play and a constant search for fun. It's a versatile ski that breaks the mold and remains highly performing in each discipline. In short: "The recreation is a FUNcreation."
